
Renowned Hawaiian slack key guitar virtuoso Makana returns to Waikīkī with a spectacular new live entertainment series, bringing his signature blend of music, hula, and storytelling to sunset performances under the open sky. Hosted by ʻAlohilani Resort Waikiki Beach at the SWELL Restaurant & Bar pool and cabana deck, the series offers a magical, family-friendly atmosphere set against the stunning backdrop of Waikīkī.
Makana is joined by celebrated musicians Lono Kaumeheiwa (vocals and bass) and Lopaka Colón (percussion), blending contemporary Hawaiian, bluegrass, rock, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Hula performances by Kaʻula Kamahele, Miss Aloha Hula 1980, and special guests add to the experience, evoking the Golden Era of Waikīkī through music and storytelling.
