Experience classic Italian at La Bettola Waikiki. Located within the ʻAlohilani Resort, La Bettola Waikiki celebrates the country’s simple yet sophisticated cuisine. Rustic Italian flavors converge with the bounty of the island, transporting diners from the shores of the Hawaiian Islands to the shores of the Mediterranean. Renowned Chef Tsutomu Ochiai’s menu features authentic Italian fare while highlighting the island’s local ingredients and fresh seafood.
Renowned Chef Tsutomu Ochiai, the creator of the uni (sea urchin) pasta, fell in love with Italy’s philosophy of “simple recipes with the freshest ingredients” during a personal culinary journey to Europe. He brought his passion for Italian cuisine home to Japan nearly 40 years ago where he rose to prominence for his authentic Italian fare. La Bettola Waikiki is Chef Ochiai’s first and only restaurant outside of Japan.
La Bettola welcomes guests for dinner with indoor seating next to the iconic Waikiki Oceanarium. The captivating 280,000-gallon, two-story salt water Oceanarium has been enchanting guests for decades and contains a large variety of colorful native Hawaiian reef fishes. We invite you to be mesmerized by the magnificence of our undersea world, while enjoying traditional Italian fare.
