Music by Christian Yrizarry

Christian began his musical journey at the University of San Diego, where he met Jared Keo and co-founded the island music group Ho’onu’a. Their debut album, Feel Good Island Music (1997), earned two Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations. They followed with Have a Good Time (2000) and Take You to the Jam (2003), with the latter receiving a Nā Hōkū Hanohano nomination for Island Music Album of the Year.

For nearly two decades, Christian has been a familiar presence in Waikīkī’s live music scene, performing at renowned venues including Aulani, Duke’s Waikīkī, Waialae Country Club, The Royal Hawaiian, and many others.

Christian is honored to share the music of Hawaiʻi and the spirit of aloha with ʻAlohilani Resort guests from around the world.
