A Cultural Celebration Honoring Queen Liliʻuokalani
Join us in honoring the legacy of Hawaiʻi’s last reigning monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani, on her birthday with a morning of cultural experiences in the Oceanarium Lounge. Celebrate the Queen’s enduring spirit through music, storytelling, traditional arts, and hands-on experiences that continue to bring Hawaiʻi’s people and culture together.
This complimentary experience welcomes guests of all ages to learn, participate, and honor her remarkable legacy.
The Royal Gathering celebration begins at 8:55 AM with the ceremonial blowing of the conch shell, followed by a 9:00 AM lei offering ceremony and a traditional 9:30 AM hula performance.
Throughout the afternoon, guests are invited to participate in lei making (12:00 PM), hula lessons (1:00 PM), and Hawaiian Story Time (2:00 PM).

September 2 marks the birthday of Queen Liliʻuokalani, Hawaiʻi’s last reigning monarch. ʻAlohilani Resort stands on the historic grounds of Keʻalohilani, a place where the Queen once came to find rest, reflection, and renewal by the sea.
